Liverpool are reportedly confident of securing a £20million-plus fee for Marko Grujic – if Jurgen Klopp gives the green light for him to be sold.Liverpool are confident of securing a £20m fee for a loan star this summer, while Arsenal have won the 20+ team race to land a Brazilian starlet, according to Tuesday’s European papers.
The 22-year-old recently revealed that he was not keen on a return to Anfield and that he would “love” to rejoin his loan club Hertha Berlin this summer on permanent basis.
A source close to the player told Football Insider that Klopp will make a decision at the end of the season on whether to bring Grujic back into the first-team picture or move him on again – either temporarily or permanently.
Grujic has only featured 14 times for Liverpool since becoming Klopp’s first signing back in January 2016 for a fee of £5.1million.
However, the report goes on to add that the Reds are confident of getting a fee of £20m-plus for the forward, who has made a big impression at Hertha this season – with their boss Pal Dardai saying Gruujic is “by far the best midfielder I’ve seen in my time at the club.”
